It’s possible to pay for most large purchases during your trip – such as tours, hotels, and tailoring – using international credit or debit cards with a fee of about 3%. Be sure to carry cash with you for tips, taxis, and purchases on the street.

Some hotels and upscale venues list prices in USD as well as in VND, but with few exceptions VND is the accepted currency for payment.
